To say that building the best Last Epoch Runemaster class is difficult would be an understatement. Depending on the combination of starting spells you used before, the Runemaster class launches one of many different Rune Summon attacks.

Last Epoch Runemaster build

The last Epoch Runemaster build is a basic spellcaster that usually puts a lot of distance between himself and the enemy. Most Runemaster builds rely on Rune Summoning as their primary source of damage. You will cast an elemental spell to obtain a rune of the corresponding elemental type (one rune per second if it is a channeling spell), then you will use Rune Summon to use the runes you have obtained and use that rune.

Rune Summon

Rune Summon builds have incredible damage potential, so it is highly recommended to use this ability as the cornerstone of your Last Epoch Runemaster build. Just keep in mind that it requires specific rune combinations (and therefore specific spell rotations) to work, leaving little room for error.

Ronic invitation

Fully upgrades Unforgiving Ruins, Catastrophic Starfall, and Rahia’s Word. You will need Rune Slinger and at least one point in Inscribed Patterns, two points in Attuned Focus, and three points in Runic Energy. Highly recommended additional passives are Copied Scroll, Transcriber of Power, and Word of Lagoon (as long as you’re using lightning magic).

Ron Bolt

Fully upgrade Arcane Restoration, Runic Weave, and Cosmic Tapestry. Better to make damage output a factor. To build this Runemaster, use Blazing Flare and Searing Dart (Fire). Other recommended upgrades are Dissolve and Conquer and Arcane Overcharge.

Flame Rush

Completely improves Blazing Flux, Runic Eclipse, and Lunar Protection. Recommended upgrades are Celestial Guidance for additional protection and Solar Rush and Blazeborn for increased range and damage.

Completely improves Blazing Flux, Runic Eclipse, and Lunar Protection. Recommended upgrades are Celestial Guidance for additional protection and Solar Rush and Blazeborn for increased range and damage.

Full improvement To better inflict lightning damage, stun competitors, and shield yourself, use Shocking Conduit, Forking Surge, and Static Armor.

Flame Ward

Fully upgrades Dilation, Energize, Prismatic Dampener, and Barrier for maximum defense. The stun upgrade is highly recommended, as you will activate Flame Ward when you are stunned.

Creating a proper Runemaster build is much easier if you just focus on one or two basic damage types and upgrade them with as many passive skill points as you can. This Runemaster build primarily uses fire damage through a modified Rune Bolt attack and Flame Rush. The main purpose of Static Orb and Flame Ward is to add defensive capability.

Runebolt

By activating the Arcane Restoration passive in addition to the Burning Flare and Searing Dart passive upgrades, Runebolt becomes a full fire damage spell with mana recovery. The latter will help you activate the treacherous Flame Rush maneuver more often, but it is still advisable to reduce its mana cost and cooldown duration with the Blazing Flux passive. Flame Ward will be used as a shield and all three skills can be used to stack runes.

Certain lightning spells, like Static Orb, allow you to create plasma spheres that revolve around you continuously or produce thunderbolt echoes. Will you keep the career rotation as simple as possible? Then, stick with fire spells to quickly build up Rah runes and continuously cast Aergon’s Great Fireball with Rune Summon.
